AmEst Rapla earns first victory of the season

Kaia Kosk: 5th double-double of the season

A total team effort led the AmEst Rapla women`s basketball team (1-8) to the first win in the Latvia-Estonia championship as the hosts bested the Tartu University, 68-62, on Saturday, November 29.

The guests went on a 4-16 run early in the game. Rapla fought back, took the lead in the third quarted and led the rest of the way.

Four Rapla players – Greeta Üprus, Kristel Viljus, Kaia Kosk and Laura Marleen Reissar – scored in double figures. Everyone of them made at least two three-pointers!

All time series: 5-1 (this season 1-0).

Stat of the game: AmEst Rapla shot 40,0% off the arc (10-of-25), while the guests connected 3-of-18 three-point attempts.

Stars of the game: Kaia Kosk produced her fifth double-double of the season. She gad 13 points, 13 rebounds, five assists and four steals. Laura Marleen Reissar added 16 points. Nele Laurimaa and Kadri Uiga both have double-double for the Tartu University.
