NewsKrastiņa, Krēsliņa, Veidere spark TTT comeback against 1182 Tallinn14.02.2015
TTT Rīga mounted a formidable comeback after being down by 14 points to beat aggressive 1182 Tallinn 85-66 on Saturday, February 14. Reigning champions booked the first of two direct tickets to the Latvia-Estonia league semifinals.
Howard Frier`s side used aggressive zone defense to build a 14 point advantage early in the game (4-18 and 6-20).
TTT Rīga replied with a 20-5 run, sparked by Ieva Krastiņa and Kate Krēsliņa. Steals, fast transition offense and a couple of three pointers from Rūta Veidere and Laura Puriņa bring Aigars Nerips side ahead 26-25.
1182 Tallinn responded with six consecutive points. Pirgit Püü extended the lead to eight points 29-37, however, Digna Strautmane made a buzzer beater to cut the gap to six points 31-37.
Ieva Krastiņa, Kate Krēsliņa and Rūta Veidere hit five three pointers in six minutes to start a decisive 25-7 run. Veidere added some second chance points to made it 56-44. The hosts never looked back.
TTT Rīga improved to 17-1 in the Top 6 tournament, while 1182 Tallinn dropped to 13-4.

Stat of the game: TTT Rīga won the third quarter with a 18 point margin 32-14.
Stars of the game: Ieva Krastiņa led TTT with 22 points, six rebounds, three assists and three steals. Rūta Veidere posted her first double-double of the season, finishing with 21 points, 10 rebounds and eight forced fouls.
Kate Krēsliņa scored 18 points on 5-of-9 shooting from the field and made 5-of-6 free throws. Ieva Kūlīte added her tenth double-double effort. She had 12 points and 10 rebounds.
Laina Mesila-Kaarmann answered with 18 points and eight rebounds. Mailis Pokk scored 16 points.
