How do you motivate yourself before the games?

Music is motivation for everything to me. 

Do you have anything you dislike about basketball?

Not at all! The game is great. It has taken me so many places in America and across the country. Being an import player in Latvia of course I'm away from my family back in the states but I've played basketball long enough to know the sacrifices I make to play the sport I love. I also love to win and compete! Basketball is awesome! 

In your eyes, what's the difference between men's and women's basketball?

The game is faster with guys obviously. People love to see guys dunk and everything! But the women's game is structured and mental although the women's game is becoming more athletic and fast these days. Women are dunking in games now! It's awesome. 

Have you done any other sports besides basketball?

When I was younger I also played volleyball, soccer, and ran track. I was pretty good at them all but Basketball was something my mom saw that I was the best at and felt like could take me more places. I believe any type of training within sports helps you because they all work on something different. Soccer is great with foot work, track is obviously great for speed work, volleyball is great for communication and they all help you function with in team setting and being a team player. 

Tell us something about you

My hobbie is mainly just shopping. I also love to do the girly things like hair and makeup, but I'm an avid shopper online! I love clothes and shoes! I'm also pretty big on social media. I have a Twitter (Sydney_Rene), an Instagram (Sydcarter4) ,a snapchat (Sydcarter4) , and a Facebook (my name-Sydney Carter). I absolutely love social media.

Tell us something unique that a lot of people don't know about you

I love to cook. I'm always thinking of new ways to cook food and making up my own recipes for things. I'm trying to learn how to become a better baker though! I also love to sing. 

What is the funniest thing that has ever happened to you?

One of the funniest things would probably be checking into a basketball game with my jersey and shorts on backwards. 

What would be your favourite breakfast on Sunday morning?

My favorite breakfast would be some homemade French toast with bacon, potato hash browns, and eggs over hard with a French vanilla coffee!
