Tallinn University gets first ever win over Cēsis, secures Top 6 spot

 Tallinn University had to wait for three years and nine games for their first ever victory over SK Cēsis, 67-45, on Saturday, December 12.

 

  

Both teams struggled in offense. The guests were only 22 for 72 from the field, connecting 30 percent of their attempts, while Cēsis was just 17 for 52.

 

Tallinn University defense made the difference. Cēsis players turned the ball over 31 times.

 

Cēsis dropped to 0-8, while Tallinn University improved to 6-3.

 

All time series: 8-1 (this season 0-1).

 

Stat of the game: Janne Rits players got to the foul line a combined 25 times, hitting on 20 free throws.

 

Stars of the game: Elise Korjus scored 15 points and grabbed seven rebounds. Trine Kasemägi added 12 points and five rebounds.

 

Anete Erdmane had 11 points.
