Audere and Püü carry Tallinn University to another victory

Guard Pirgit Püü and forward Laura Audere joined forces to bring another victory for the Tallinn University (2-1). Kersti Sirel`s side claimed back-to-back wins against "Audentes" (0-3), this time defeating the hosts with a 33 point margin – 83:50 (25:22, 24:6, 13:14, 21:8).

Püü won Player of the Month award in October 2013. Audere did the same thing in November. On Thursday, January 30, both showed their scoring ability. Together they scored 56 points or six points more than opposing team.

"Audentes" stayed in the game until the end of the first quarter, 25-22. Poor second quarter performance destroyed them, while students extended their lead to the 21 point mark, 49-28. Audere scored the winning basket early in the second half, 51-28, to finish the game with a season high 28 points.

Stat of the game: Tallinn University players made 17 steals, most of which led to fast break baskets or free throw attempts.

Star of the game: Pirgit Püü marked her eighth 20+ point game of the season. She had 28 points, four rebounds, six assists and four steals for efficiency rating of 30.
