Five time Finland champions Catz Lappeenranta pushed its way to the Latvia-Estonia league final with a dominant 75-55 win over Vega 1/Liepāja on Saturday, April 9.
The Catz, which had never previously played in the Final Six, will square off with TTT Rīga for a league`s championship on Sunday at 18:00.
Vega 1/Liepāja captain Kristīne Silarāja (Robert Morris) hit a three point shot late in the first quarter to give her side a one point lead 16-17.
Chandrea Jones replied with a last second buzzer-beater from the three point line to initiate a 10-0 run.
The Catz capitalised from strong play in the paint (32-18), while Jennifer Schlott was impressive from downtown, sinking all four three point shots.
Mika Haakana`s side led by as many as 14 points in the third quarter (51-37) and extended its lead to 20 points late in the game.
All time series: 3-0 (this season 3-0).
Stat of the game: Catz scored 20 points off turnovers, while Vega 1/Liepāja had four points.
Stars of the game: Jennifer Schlott was outstanding. She sunk each and every three pointer to finish with 21 points, four assists and three forced fouls.
Chandrea Jones had 18 points and nine rebounds. Elena Reshetko added 17 points and 10 rebounds.
Dita Rozenberga scored 18 points on 7-of-11 shooting from the field. She grabbed five rebounds and forced a game high six fouls.
Coming next: Vega 1/Liepāja (#3) will face 1182 Tallinn (#4) in the bronze match.
