NewsCēsis win the battle of undefeated, beat Eclex Tallinn/118201.02.2014
SK "Cēsis" (3-0) continue their perfect run in the Nordea league "Top 6" tournament. Armands Krauliņš and Uģis Viļums side took 13th consecutive win and hold their ground against the Estonian champions "Eclex Tallinn/1182" (0-1). Final result – 69:56 (20:18, 19:13, 19:16, 11:9).
The defending Latvia and Estonia league champions are undefeated since October 19, 2013, when they suffered a home loss against "RSU/Merks", 55-61.
Shooting guard Kristīne Silarāja, forward Zane Jākobsone and center Aija Brumermane scored a combined 46 points to lead their team to the third win in 2014.
The hosts made five three pointers in the first 15 minutes to give Cēsis a 31-23 lead. Aija Brumermane added two jumpshots to get a 39-28 edge after 19 minutes.
Estonians played hard to stay in the game. Greeta Üprus sank threepointer to cut the deficit to single digits, 39-31. She scored again and two pointer by Annika Köster kept Tallinn within seven points, 52-45.
Silarāja and Brumermane beat the guests defense early in the fourth quarter to build a 15 point advantage, 65-50. Jaanus Levkoi girls fought until the last minute and collected 20 offensive rebounds.

Stat of the game: Cēsis players did shoot 44% inside the three point line (21/48), while the guests made only 27% of their attempts (12/45).
Star of the game: Kristīne Silarāja was excellent. She had 17 points, nine rebounds and five assists for efficiency rating of 28.
